We’re Martina & Cyprien, the Maltese-French couple behind Match On The Map. We create practical travel guides based on places we’ve experienced together, sharing what we actually did, what we spent and what we learned along the way.
Martina is Maltese and Cyprien is French, and travel has been part of our relationship from the beginning. While we were long-distance between Malta and France, seeing each other meant regularly travelling between our two countries. Whenever we had the chance, we also started using our time together to explore somewhere new.
What began with trips around our long-distance relationship gradually became a much bigger part of our life together. We later moved to Luxembourg, where weekend trips and road trips became a regular part of our life, before eventually settling in Malta. Along the way, we started Match On The Map in August 2024 to share our experiences and help other travellers plan their own adventures.
We’ve explored 20 countries together so far, but we definitely don’t plan on stopping there. There’s still so much of the world we want to see, experience and learn about. From places closer to home to destinations much further away, we hope to keep adding to this map for many years to come.

We plan our trips together, compare our options and make the big decisions as a team, but we each bring our own personality to the way we travel. Those differences are part of what shapes Match On The Map and the guides we share with you.
The organised one
I’m the one who somehow manages to fit everything into the suitcase, neatly, tightly and without forgetting what we need! When we travel, I love discovering the little details that give each place its character, from beautiful streets and local shops to the moments we end up remembering most. I enjoy turning those experiences into stories and practical tips that can help other travellers enjoy a destination as much as we did.
The one behind the camera
You’ll often find me with the camera in my hands, trying to capture the places we visit and the moments we want to remember. I love exploring, finding great viewpoints and coming home with photos that can bring our guides to life. I’m also naturally drawn to the numbers and details of a trip, keeping track of what we spend and turning what we learn along the way into useful information for other travellers.
